Our program is dedicated to meet the needs of the whole child, emphasizing intellectual, physical, social, and emotional growth. This is achieved through engaging in language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, the arts, health, and social-emotional awareness.
Our Frog Street curriculum is designed to meet the needs of diverse learners, while supporting 10 learning domains. This engaging program celebrates the joy of learning for children 2 - 5 years old. As a supplement to our academic curriculum, we teach biblical foundations through First Look. First Look combines child development and theology to create a comprehensive faith-based curriculum for preschoolers.
During our 9-month program (September - May), we have three classrooms. Each classroom's learning environment is established to confirm the child’s sense of identity and belonging. We also utilize a structured routine, as children learn best when they can predict expectations in their environments.
Each classroom setting has learning centers that promote curiosity, exploration, and discovery. These centers include:
Children learn the balance between free choice and structured activities to foster responsibility, self-regulation, and confidence.
The 2 year-old class is limited to 10 children with one teacher and two classroom assistants. To join this classroom, your child must be 2 years old by September 1st. Children do not need to be potty trained in order to register. This class focuses on enhancing the simple joy of childhood through curiosity and exploration.
The 3 year-old class is limited to 20 children with one teacher and one classroom assistant. To begin on the first day of school, students must be 3 years old by September 1st and independently potty trained. This classroom sets a foundation for social-emotional awareness so that these kiddos are ready to learn and grow in an academic setting.
The 4 year-old class is limited to 20 children one teacher and one classroom assistant. This classroom is dedicated to children who are 4 years old by September 1st. The curriculum in this classroom builds upon the foundations that were set in the PreK-3 classroom, and prepares students for their next transition into Kindergarten.
Before & After School Program:
We offer a Before School Program, which begins at 8am. The regular school day starts at 9am and ends at 3pm. Our After School Program is from 3pm - 6pm. Typical activities include large motor and cooperative games.
Lunch / Snack Program:
Children who attend the full day program are served 2 snacks and 1 lunch, which are all prepared on-site, in accordance to the nutrition guidelines that are required for healthy growth and development. Food preparation is supervised by a state-certified food service manager. Students sharpen their self-help and social skills through our family-style serving approach. Children learn to serve themselves and work together to share each dish with everyone at the table.
Summer Discovery Camp:
Summer Discovery Camp is a 12-week program for children ages 3 to 6. Register for all or some of these fun-filled weeks. Some of our themes include Camping, Insects, and Gardening. Weather permitting, we spend most of our days outdoors, engaging with nature and exploration. We also incorporate water days and bike days throughout.
